Zhulongguan Gr
Type Locality and Naming
NW Gansu-south Qinghai border region (middle Qilian). The Zhulongguan Gr was named by the No. 2 Party of Regional Geological Survey, Gansu Bureau of Geology in 1974. The naming locality is Qiqing Township, Sunan County, Gansu Province.

Lithology and Thickness
The Zhulongguan Gr is subdivided into Aoyougou Fm and Huashugou Fm. [See those formation entries for details.] The Aoyougou Fm of the lower part is of volcaniclastic rock and intermediate-basic volcanic lava with carbonate rock. The Huashugou Fm of the upper part is composed of low-grade metamorphosed sandy, muddy clastic rock, accompanied by carbonate rock. The Zhulongguan Gr is extremely variable both in thickness and lithological character in lateral direction. The group is 4000 m thick
Relationships and Distribution
Lower contact
The lower boundary relation was unknown, but it is often in fault contact with Beidahe Gr.
Upper contact
Unconformably overlapped by the Nanbaishuihe Fm (lower formation of the Tuolainanshan Gr)
Regional extent
NW Gansu-south Qinghai border region (middle Qilian). It is distributed mainly on south slope of Qilian Mts. and in Tuolainanshan Mountain it extends westward to Xinjiang.
